‘Chiefs denied two penalties & a red card! It is unacceptable’ – Nabi fumes

Kaizer Chiefs tactician Nasreddine Nabi has now blamed the officials for his team's Premier Soccer League loss against Polokwane City on Sunday.

Nabi argues his team deserved at least two penalties at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium but referee Eugene Mdluli and his colleagues turned a blind eye to the incidents. The Tunisian is further questioning why the Polokwane player wasn't sent off for a dangerous tackle against Bradley Cross who was eventually replaced.

“You remember the game Edson Castillo was out? I talked about the referee, and all the people, the media, told me I’m aggressive with the referee, I’m not aggressive,” the former AS FAR Rabat coach said in a presser.

‘Officiating is unacceptable'

“I respect the referees because without the referees we don’t have football. I still talk to referees but [on Sunday], ayaya! On television, I talked to the PSL to please analyse our situation,” Nabi added.

“We should have had two penalties and I think my left-back Cross is out and there was no red card. It is unacceptable. If I lose, I lose because I’m bad and that’s football but I don’t like to lose like that. I don’t like to lose because of the referees. I don’t like it and it is not the first time.

“Look at the action with Cross he may be out for two months. It is unacceptable. I respect the opponent, I respect the referees but give me the respect that I deserve because even the first rule for referees from FIFA is to protect the players. I’m not talking to protect myself because I lost,” Nabi concluded.

The next Premier Soccer League outing for the Glamour Boys will be away against TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium.
