Chiefs share latest on Ntwari & Nabi situation

Kaizer Chiefs will be making a return to competitive action on Wednesday, November 27 when they host Richards Bay in the Premier Soccer League at the FNB Stadium.

It will be the first time the Glamour Boys are returning to action after 25 days owing to an international break and the Carling Knockout.

The Soweto Giants are winless in their last four games across all competitions – having lost three and drawn one, meaning they are desperate to get a win against the Natal Rich Boys in the midweek assignment.

The Nasreddine Nabi-led team have collected seven points from the five league games they have played in the ongoing 2024/25 season.

Chiefs' latest on Nabi and Ntwari

Coach Nabi recently underwent a minor orthopedic surgery that saw him miss last weekend's Home of Legends Cup. The club has now communicated the latest on the former Young Africans SC tactician.

“Coach Nasreddine Nabi is expected to be back in the dugout after missing last weekend’s Home of Legends friendly tournament in Gqeberha due to an operation,” the Glamour Boys said in a statement.

“Chiefs won the tournament after beating Lamontville Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns last Saturday.

“Going to Polokwane, Chiefs will be without defender Inacio Miguel, who picked up a red card in the last official game against Mamelodi Sundown, which was their Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinal at FNB Stadium at the beginning of the month.”

Rwanda international Fiacre Ntwari suffered an injury against Nigeria, and Amakhosi have also commented on the same.

“With Fiacre Ntwari and Rushwin Dortley returning from international duty, the medical team will assess them as soon as they rejoin their teammates. This is mainly because Ntwari was substituted in the Rwanda versus Nigeria match after picking up an injury.”
