Kaizer Chiefs youngster Naledi Hlongwane has expressed his desire to use his R100,000 Man of the Match prize money from the Carling Cup to reward his family.

Hlongwane, a standout performer from the DStv Diski Challenge, scored two goals in the 3-0 victory over Magesi FC at Orlando Stadium.

His impressive display not only secured the prize money but also prevented goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze from claiming the award in every match of the 2024 tournament.

HLONGWANE SAYS HE’LL REWARD HIS FAMILY WITH MOM PRIZE MONEY

“The money that I got today, as my father passed away last year, I was planning to at least buy a tombstone for him…then the other, obviously I will give my mom and the [rest] will go into a savings account,” said Hlongwane.

“It was a great experience playing with the big players in the PSL, and Mfundo [has inspired], I have been training with him before he was promoted to the first team, 17, U19, and DDC before he was promoted.”
