Kaizer Chiefs coach Fernando Da Cruz is optimistic his team will register the needed result to make the group phase of the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the first leg of the second preliminary round, the Glamour Boys fell by a solitary goal away to Zambian outfit Red Arrows. Alassane Diarra’s header was all that was needed for the hosts to beat Amakhosi on Saturday, October 17 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

On Friday, Chiefs will host Red Arrows at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban aware that they can’t afford to make any mistakes if they are to advance and compete in the group stage.
Da Cruz has urged the supporters to turn out in large numbers and cheer their team to victry.
‘We must stay united!’

“We need them on Friday for the game to support us because I know that the team is able to reverse the result,” Da Cruz stated after the loss in Ndola.
“What is most important is that in difficult moments we must stay united, players, staff, club and supporters to get through this period and get better results.
“For sure, we need to change something to create more chances. Normally, we create more chances in PSL. It’s the first time that we didn’t create a lot of chances, so we need to analyse and after we need to change something to be able to qualify,” the tactician concluded.

In the last two games, Da Cruz started with seven defensive players owing to restrictions brought about by injuries to key players. It is interesting to see how Amakhosi will start on Friday.
