Dithejane not giving up on Chiefs dream! Claims ‘there were truths & untruths’ in controversial exit

TS Galaxy midfielder Puso Dithejane is optimistic about donning a Kaizer Chiefs jersey in the future.

The 21-year-old unceremoniously left the Glamour Boys two seasons ago, alongside Omega Mdaka, for allegedly refusing to be the ball boys in a match involving the senior team. While Dithejane has made a name for himself while with the Rockets, Omega is also a starter at Stellies.

On Saturday, Dithejane is expected to be in the starting team as Galaxy play Golden Arrows in the Carling Knockout quarter-final fixture to be staged at King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium.

The youngster has not given up hope of playing for the Soweto giants again when the time is right. He has further insisted that some stories were fabricated and pushed out of context regarding the manner in which he left the Naturena Village.

‘There were truths and untruths' in Chiefs' exit stories

“I am at TS Galaxy and my focus is here, we will deal with transfers when the window opens, but if the chance is there, then, [I will consider],” he told the media.

“There were truths and untruths in what was written in the papers [about that incident of the ball-boys]. We refused to be ball boys, but we tried to negotiate with the team to use other players because we had a game the following day at midday.

“They did not agree with us and said we don’t respect the team. There was a meeting, but they said we could leave the club, and that is what happened,” he added.

Dithejane is hopeful of getting past Arrows in the Carling Knockout, “Our preparations are going very well, we are going to Durban with the mentality of a win and get to the semifinal. They can be tough to beat at home but they have weak points that we can exploit.”
