Keagan Dolly: Ex-Chiefs star set for long-awaited PSL return

Former Kaizer Chiefs forward Keagan Dolly is in line to make his long-awaited PSL return during TS Galaxy’s clash away to Sekhukhune United on Tuesday.

The Rockets will take on Babina Noko at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday evening and Dolly will be angling for a start for Galaxy who are desperate for a lift after failing to win any of their six league games, leaving them bottom of the table with just two points.

It will also be the first match for new coach Adnan Beganovic who replaced Sead Ramovic who has since been appointed coach of Tanzania giants Yanga.

Doubts over the player’s fitness

Dolly has been out for four months following his departure from Chiefs in June and it is still not known if he is fit to start, or even play, given his spell with the Glamour Boys was full of injuries.

The former Montpellier player previously explained how he passed a fitness test at SuperSport United as he was looking for a new club but whether Beganovic feels he is ready is something fans will have to wait and see.

Dolly is looking to turn a new page after a difficult three years with Chiefs where injuries and poor form restricted him from showing his true qualities and he has also expressed a desire to lift Galaxy who are looking for some inspiration.

What has Dolly promised Galaxy fans?

“It’s been a couple of months. Everyone knows that I’ve been away from football and not having a team, but I’ve always said we’re looking for the best project that will suit me and suit my family,” he said.

“And, we’ve found a family in TS Galaxy. We couldn’t be happier to be a part of this and we’re just looking forward to enjoying myself again.

“Work hard, contribute to the team on and off the field because I feel there’s a lot of youngsters here at the club who are very exciting and I’m just going to try my best to help them. Contribute and score a few more goals and just enjoy football.”

Galaxy fans are hoping to see him from the start as their team look for a first win of the season against fifth-placed Sekhukhune.
