Keagan Dolly opens up on why he chose TS Galaxy

Keagan Dolly admits the opportunity to pass his vast knowledge to youngsters was one of the things that appealed to him at TS Galaxy.

Dolly joined Galaxy on Monday after four months without a club following his departure from Kaizer Chiefs in June.

The attacker had been linked with a move to SuperSport United, where he trained twice but a transfer did not materialise, and it is the Rockets who secured his signature instead.

“Obviously, very exciting, excited to join this family,” Dolly told the club’s media.

“It’s been a couple of months. Everyone knows that I’ve been away from football and not having a team, but I’ve always said we’re looking for the best project that will suit me and suit my family.

“And, we’ve found a family in TS Galaxy. We couldn’t be happier to be a part of this and we’re just looking forward to enjoying myself again.

“Work hard, contribute to the team on and off the field because I feel there’s a lot of youngsters here at the club who are very exciting and I’m just going to try my best to help them. Contribute and score a few more goals and just enjoy football.

“I feel like I owe it to myself, I owe it to the people around me and I owe it to the club, its supporters, the chairman for giving me the opportunity to come here and just play football and help where I can.”

Dolly ended his three-year stay at Chiefs when Glamour Boys opted against renewing his deal after injuries and poor form had seen his opportunities and output limited.

The former Montpellier winger was rumoured to be the highest paid player in the PSL at the time, reportedly on a monthly salary of R1 million, but he has since refuted those claims, blaming the reports for some of his struggles with the Soweto giants.
