Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly preparing a bid for Siyanda Ndlovu after the player’s proposed transfer to Orlando Pirates encountered a significant setback.
According to iDiski Times, Golden Arrows and the Buccaneers had reached a club-to-club agreement but the deal has now stalled. Ndlovu, who had seemingly been on the verge of joining Pirates, even completed a medical with the club last Thursday.
However, negotiations broke down when the player and the Soweto giants failed to agree on personal terms, with the proposed salary package falling short of Ndlovu’s expectations.
Why Ndlovu is a man on demand

This development has opened the door for Mamelodi Sundowns, who have now formally approached Golden Arrows in an attempt to sign the highly-rated 23-year-old midfielder.
Ndlovu was a key figure for his club last season, making 31 appearances across all competitions while contributing an impressive four goals and eight assists. Over his entire career with the Durban-based team, he has played 74 matches, scoring eight goals and setting up 13.
If Sundowns successfully secure his signature, Ndlovu would be their second major signing of the current transfer window, following the acquisition of Antonio van Wyk from Austrian side SV Ried FC.

The reigning African champions are also reportedly in discussions to sign Yan Sasse from Esperance Sportive de Tunis as they continue to strengthen their midfield for the upcoming season.
Brazilian attacking midfielder Sasse is seen as the ideal replacement for Portuguese Miguel Reisinho who is reportedly on his way out of Chloorkop.
Sundowns are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of a busy 2026-27 season when they will be looking to reclaim the PSL title and retain their CAF Champions League crown.
