Former Orlando Pirates coach Eric Tinker is no longer the head coach of Sekhukhune United, according to SABC Sport.
The tactician has been struggling for consistency in the second round of the Premier Soocer League, where Babina Noko dropped points in matches they should have won comfortably. Prior to last weekend’s 1-0 win over Magesi, Babina Noko had failed to win five in a row.

Currently, they are placed fifth on the table with 38 points, four less than third-placed Kaizer Chiefs who have two games in hand.
Despite promising to beat the Glamour Boys to the CAF Confederation Cup spot, it seems Tinkler will not be there to realise the dream. The club has decided to change the technical team, as explained by the state broadcaster.
Ex-Orlando Pirates coach sent home?
“Sekhukhune United have parted ways with head coach Eric Tinkler, with Paulus Masehe expected to take charge for the remainder of the season,” the aforementioned publication reported.
“Heading into the current campaign, Tinkler had been given a clear mandate to secure a top three finish and deliver silverware from one of the domestic competitions, which is any one of the MTN8, Carling Knockout, or Nedbank Cup.
“However, Sekhukhune were unable to secure any trophies, and their league form has been inconsistent in recent weeks,” they added.

Babina Noko continue their Premier Soccer League action on Friday with a tricky outing away to Stellenbosch before hosting Marumo Gallants in the next outing. Chippa United, Kaizer Chiefs, Richards Bay, and Siwelele are the other teams remaining before Sekhukhune end their 2025/26 campaign.
