Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are currently without a coach after the exit of Nasreddine Nabi a couple of days ago.
The Glamour Boys confirmed they had parted ways with the Tunisian who had joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the 2024/25 Premier Soccer League season. Despite leading the club to the Nedbank Cup glory – the first time Amakhosi won a trophy in a decade, the club finished ninth on the PSL table.
“Kaizer Chiefs confirms that Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi is currently not with the team as discussions between the Club and the Coach remain ongoing,” they said in a statement.
“The matter is internal in nature and is being addressed through the appropriate processes. The Club remains focused on ensuring stability and continuity for the players and supporters during this period. As this is an internal matter, no further details will be shared at this stage.
“We appreciate the continued support and understanding of our supporters and the broader football community. Any updates will be communicated through official Club channels when appropriate,” Amakhosi concluded.

Reports from various sources have now placed Portuguese tactician Pedro Soares Goncalves as the man to succeed Nabi at Chiefs.
The 49-year-old has been at the helm of the Angola National team OS Mambas, until recently, when he was fired for failing to help them reach, at least, the quarter-final of the recently completed CHAN tournament that was co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Prior to the continental tournament for the locally-based players, he had led his team to back-to-back COSAFA triumphs. He has also been linked with a move to Al Ahly to succeed former Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro who was fired after a couple of matches at the helm.
Chiefs haven't announced their immediate plans in their bid to replace Nabi.
