Kaizer Chiefs make decision on Tebogo Potsane’s future

Kaizer Chiefs have made their decision on the future of winger Tebogo Potsane who has had an injury-ravaged spell at the club.

Potsane has been at Chiefs since he joined from Royal AM in 2023 but injuries have limited his gametime and the club have decided to cut ties with him.

Chiefs have confirmed the departure of the right winger, who managed just 19 appearances in two seasons at the club, among them eight last season.

“As Kaizer Chiefs continue to prepare for the upcoming season, the club and midfielder Tebogo Potsane have parted ways amicably,” Chiefs confirmed through a statement on the club’s website.

Who else has left Kaizer Chiefs?

“The speedy winger joined the Amakhosi in July 2023 and spent two seasons with the team. We thank him for his contributions and wish him all the best in the future.”

The former Bloemfontein Celtic and Free State Stars winger is the seventh player to be released by Chiefs after the departures of Ranga Chivaviro, Edmilson Dove, Sabele Radebe, Njabulo Blom, Mduduzi Mdantsane and Edson Castillo.

Overall, he is the eighth player to leave the club after captain Yusuf Maart signed for Austrian side SV Ried this month.

Potsane was among players that were not in the plans of coach Nasreddine Nabi although the forward did not have enough time to show what he can do as the tactician arrived when he was injured.
