The latest news about Kaizer Chiefs in the last 24 hours, including Doctor Khumalo in Ivory Coast to represent Amakhosi, why Arthur Zwane is in regrets & many more.
Doc to represent Chiefs in Ivory Coast!
Kaizer Chiefs legend Doctor Khumalo will represent his former club after long-time Amakhosi fan Salomon Kalou extended the club an invitation for him to be part of the Salomon Kalou For Impact Weekend.
The event will be staged at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan on Saturday, 16 May.
Chiefs Director of Marketing Jessica Motaung expressed gratitude for the club being invited as it will strengthen ties between Kalou and Chiefs.
“Having representatives of the Club in Abidjan will help strengthen the ties between Chiefs and Kalou,” she told the club’s website.
“We are thankful to have been handed an invitation by the Kalou Foundation to be part of the Impact weekend. We are honoured to have Doctor representing us alongside so many world and African legends.

“Yusuf works with our legends and he will be gaining valuable experience and insight which will be valuable as we continue to grow the work we do with our former players.”
Zwane regrets AmaZulu playing Chiefs with third-place decided
AmaZulu head coach goes into detail about the club’s squad rebuild before the start of the season and why he’s proud of his troops for their efforts in the 2025/26 campaign.
The Amakhosi legend also wished his side were going into Saturday’s Betway Premiership clash with Kaizer Chiefs, with both teams vying for third place.
Kaze & Ben Youssef challenge after CAF CC qualification
Kaizer Chiefs legend Zebulon Nhlapo has stated in no uncertain terms what the remaining challenge for the club’s co-coaches, Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef, is now that third spot has been secured.
Nhlapo believes that the final two matches provide an opportunity for the coaches to integrate emerging players into the team.
“Chiefs should aim to get wins in the final two games using these young players. It was evident how Vilakazi and Velebayi influenced the game against Sekhukhune United, and it is time to give them a proper opportunity,” Nhlapo told KickOff.
“Also, Luke Baartman gains valuable experience through playing, and they represent the future of Kaizer Chiefs. Chiefs do not lack talented youth; what is needed is a coach who believes in their potential.

“Supporters are willing to give the two coaches another opportunity, provided they can be assured that the young players will be used more regularly.
“From finishing ninth last season to third this season, the coaches deserve another chance. That would be a good decision to build upon the current foundation. These two coaches have a thorough understanding of Kaizer Chiefs and South African football at present.
“Most importantly, our young players have already become accustomed to their coaching styles and understand them,” he concluded.
