While Sky Sports reported that Kaizer Chiefs recently held talks with Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke over their vacant coaching position, he is unlikely to join the club as he is primmed for the Jamaica national team job.
It has been reported that Yorke is among candidates who were sounded out for the Chiefs job but he is leaning towards Jamaica, making Frenchman Fernando Da Cruz the clear favourite.

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns striker Leonardo Castro has used the 2026 FIFA World Cup as a platform to express his deep affection for South Africa, publicly throwing his support behind Bafana Bafana despite his native Colombia also competing at the global showpiece.
The Colombian forward, who enjoyed successful spells with both Masandawana and Amakhosi in the PSL, took to social media to share a heartfelt message after his son Valentín retrieved South African shirts from his wardrobe.
“Today my son Valentín took these t-shirts out of his wardrobe, and it reminded me of what South Africa means to us. More than a place, it’s a country that opened its doors to us and welcomed us with open arms. A country where we met incredible, kind, and always cheerful people who left a very special mark on our lives,” he said as per KickOff.

Ex-Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi endured a frustrating return to the dugout as his new club Raja Athletic Club dropped points for the third game in a row, drawing 1-1 at home to Union Touarga on Sunday.
The Tunisian mentor, who ended Kaizer Chiefs’ 10-year trophy drought by guiding them to the 2024/25 Nedbank Cup, was taking charge for the first time since his departure from Naturena earlier last season.
Visitors Union Touarga opened the scoring through Yacine Bammou in the 57th minute, before Besar Halimi rescued a share of the spoils for Raja in the 83rd minute. The stalemate leaves the Casablanca side fifth in the Botola Pro standings, five points adrift of leaders AS FAR with six matches remaining.
