Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News: Another exit confirmed by Amakhosi

Published on by

Kaizer Chiefs are busy streamlining their squad ahead of the 2025/26 Premier Soccer League campaign.

Coach Nasreddine Nabi will be aiming to make an impact in the South African top-flight football after missing out on making the top eight for the second season in a row. In the 2023/24 season, they finished 10th on the table before climbing a position higher in the just concluded campaign in the Tunisian's debut.

The former AS FAR Rabat coach is keen on having a better squad that will help him achieve his goals. It explains the release of Edmilson Dove, Ranga Chivaviro, Sabelo Radebe and Njabulo Blom who returned to his parent club.

Ahead of the Netherlands' pre-season, the Soweto giants have confirmed another exit.

Chiefs confirm the exit of Mdantsane

“Kaizer Chiefs and midfielder, Mduduzi Mdantsane, have mutually agreed to part ways,” The Glamour Boys announced through their platforms on Monday.

“The 30-year-old player joined Amakhosi from Cape Town City at the beginning of the 2023/24 season.

“Last season, in order to accumulate some game-time after recovering from injury, he spent the latter part of the campaign on loan at Richards Bay FC.  During his time with Chiefs, Mdantsane made 16 appearances across all competitions.  We wish Mdu all the best!,” they concluded.

So far, Amakhosi have not confirmed the teams they will play in preparations for the new season. However, Eredivisie outfit Utrecht have confirmed they will play the South African outfit. The friendly outing will be staged on July 11.

A day later, the Glamour Boys will play five-time KNVB Cup finalists Nec Nijmegen FC, with Nabi hoping to gauge his new players.
