Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly identified the goalkeeper they want to strengthen the squad next season after getting dissatisfied with all their current options.
Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi utilised all his three goalkeepers last season, starting the campaign with Fiacre Ntwari, before Brandon Petersen took over only to lose his place to Bruce Bvuma, who was in goal for most of the matches since the turn of the year.

With Ntwari having decided to quit Chiefs, one year after joining from TS Galaxy, in search of regular game time, the club is in the market for a new goalkeeper and it is not Chippa United’s Stanley Nwabali who has been heavily linked to the Glamour Boys.
Nabi & Kaze in Tanzania on scouting mission
According to Rwandan journalist Eric Ndagijimana, Nabi has decided to lure his former goalkeeper Djigui Diarra, who plays for Tanzanian giants Yanga as the man between the sticks next season.
Nabi and his assistant Cedric Kaze are reported to have been in Tanzania on a scouting mission and one of the players they looked at is Malian goalkeeper Diarra.
Diarra is, however, not new to Nabi, who worked with him during his two-year spell at Yanga from 2021-2023 after signing him from Stade Malien.
The 30-year-old has plenty of experience as he has made 69 appearances for his country and has played in both CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup for Yanga.
Will Yanga allow Djigui Diarra to leave?
With Chiefs set to feature in the Confederation Cup next season, the goalkeeper’s experience will be vital as he was key to Yanga’s run to the 2023 final of the same competition.

It is, however, not known if Yanga are ready to lose another of their key players following the departure of playmaker Stephane Aziz Ki to Wydad Athletic Club, meaning Chiefs might need to pay big to acquire him.
Another player that Nabi and Kaze reportedly also looked at is attacking midfielder Feisal Salum, who has been linked to the Soweto giants since last year, although Fadlu Davids’ Simba are also interested.
