Kaizer Chiefs could be without striker Khanyisa Mayo for a number of matches after the striker limped off during their goalless draw with Siwelele FC on Wednesday.
Chiefs came into the match without nearly 10 players due to injuries and finished with one more in the treatment room after Mayo was forced off in the dying minutes of their disappointing draw with Siwelele.
Mayo went down after 80 minutes, holding his hamstring, before he was stretchered off, and at the final whistle, he needed help to get to the dressing room as he limped off in pain.
How long will Mayo be out?
It is not certain the extent of Mayo’s injury but it appears that he sustained a hamstring tendon problem that is likely to keep him out of this weekend’s CAF Confederation Cup return leg against AS Simba, which the Glamour Boys must win to make it to the group stages.
With hamstring injuries requiring between two to eight weeks to heal, Mayo could also miss league games against Durban City and Orbit College, matches Chiefs would feel that are winnable after going four games without victory in the PSL.

Mayo, who is on a season-long loan at Chiefs from Algerian club CR Belouizdad, has played five games for Amakhosi so far this season, scoring one goal, which came on his debut against Marumo Gallants on September 24.
The striker was in line to start at the weekend, after coming off the bench on Wednesday, but the technical bench will have to find another option as Chiefs look for goals that have been hard to come by after three straight games without scoring.
