Kaizer Chiefs legend Itumeleng Khune has hit out at the players following their big loss in the Soweto Derby on Saturday.
Chiefs suffered their biggest derby loss in 25 years, when they were thrashed 3-0 by Orlando Pirates, in what was total domination from Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side.
The Glamour Boys had no answer for the hungry and well-drilled Pirates, who were two goals to the good in the first half before completing the rout after the break.
It could have been more for Pirates while Chiefs struggled to get a foothold in the game at a sold out FNB Stadium where they were the host team.
Khune hits out at ‘disrespectful’ Chiefs

That meek performance left Khune so disappointed that he feels the players did not show respect to the club, its leadership and former players by failing to turn up in their biggest match.
“At least RESPECT the CHAIRMAN, LEGENDS and the AMAKHOSI DIE HARD SUPPORTERS Gents. “Total Disrespect,” Khune, who was watching the game at the stadium posted on his Instagram story.
Khune, who spent 25 years at the club, played many derbies but did not witness his team lose by such a margin and was not impressed by how the current team rolled over.
Are Amakhosi now out of title race?

During the derby, Pirates scored after five minutes through Tshepang Moremi before Oswin Appollis made it 2-0 in the 39th minutes with Evidence Makgopa sealing the game in the second half.
This was the third straight loss for Chiefs and a second on the bounce in the PSL, leaving them 11 points behind joint leaders Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, even though they have a game in hand.
Chiefs look to be out of the title race which means they will go trophyless this season after last season’s Nedbank Cup win ended a 10-year wait for silverware.
