Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef has provided an update over the injuries of defenders Rushwin Dortley and Paseka Mako as well as midfielder Given Msimango.
Dortley has been out since March when he had surgery while Msimango is another long-term absentee who played little part last season and is yet to feature this term.
Meanwhile, Mako, signed as a free agent after leaving Orlando Pirates, had a runout in the team before injury struck last month and of the three, it is the latter who is close to playing again.
What is the situation of the injured trio?

“About Dortley and Given, Dortley still, maybe in two weeks, will be back with us to start training. But Given is part of the team and he is ready,” said Ben Youssef as quoted by Soccer Laduma. “Now we are building his fitness. When he is ready, we will introduce him.”
“Mako is part of the team, he is ready also. He was with us last week, he started last week. And you know, after one month out, now he is starting again,” the tactician further said.
With Mako’s return imminent, Chiefs are now working to get both Msimango and Dortley fit to offer them more options in defence and midfield.

“Also him and Given, they continue to work with our fitness coach, Majdi, to build their fitness. When they are ready, they will be part of the team,” said the Tunisian mentor.
Chiefs have a PSL match against Orbit College on Tuesday but of the three players, Mako is the only one with a chance of playing as the other two continue their full recovery from the injuries.
The Glamour Boys can move level on 22 points with leaders Mamelodi Sundowns with a victory before the Brazilians play TS Galaxy a day later.
