In a shocking twist, Atalanta are now looking to keep Ademola Lookman.
The Bergamo outfit had, since the turn of the year, been open to the sale of their attacking talisman, quoting a fee in the region of €50 million to interested parties. The likes of Napoli and Juventus have been linked.
However, new Atalanta boss Ivan Juric has stated, in a press conference, that the Serie A side plan on having the 27-year-old in the squad for the 2025/26 campaign.

“In the championship, it will be very hard, there are many fierce competitors. The idea would be to keep… Lookman, even if the club has clear ideas on the market and I am not making any requests for players.”
Could Ademola Lookman stay at Atalanta this summer?
Contrary to expectation, there has not been a groundswell of transfer interest in Ademola Lookman this summer.
While he is admired at Napoli, the reigning Serie A champions are also tracking other targets, and it is not a given that they will settle on the Nigeria international. If they do not, there is a real possibility that he remains with La Dea, especially following the departure of former coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
The 2024 CAF Player of the Year has two years left on his contract with Atalanta.
