It is now no longer certain that Ademola Lookman will leave Serie A side Atalanta this summer.
The reigning CAF Player of the Year looked to be headed for the exit following his high-profile falling-out with manager Gian Piero Gasperini back in February. Following conciliatory talks by La Dea hierarchy, it was understood that the end of the Serie A campaign would see one or both men depart the club, as their working relationship had become irreparably strained.
On Saturday, the 67-year-old announced the end of his nine-year association with Atalanta, and is believed to be on the brink of joining Roma.

What is Ademola Lookman’s transfer destination this summer?
While Gasperini’s immediate future seems settled, the same cannot be said for Lookman.
Atalanta have quoted an asking price of €60m, but despite reported interest from a number of clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus, there have been no concrete offers for the Nigeria international.
In light of this , the 27-year-old could now remain in Bergamo, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport. With the club not budging on their total valuation and Gasperini having departed, there may now be a path toward reconciliation and reintegration, especially if no bids are received for Lookman.
