Ademola Lookman finds himself at the centre of a transfer triangle this summer.
The Atalanta forward is widely expected to leave the club, but his destination is uncertain at this time. As it stands, his options are reportedly between Napoli and Juventus. It is understood that the reigning Serie A champions hold him in high regard, and are keen to bolster their squad for the Champions League next season.
However, the key to Lookman’s future is very much in the hands of his current club, who with one decision could pave the way.

The complicated three-way situation around Ademola Lookman
While new boss Ivan Juric has stated that the club would be happy to keep Ademola Lookman, Atalanta have begun to seek replacement options.

High on Atalanta’s list is Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao, who is coincidentally also a fall-back option for Napoli should their Lookman pursuit fall short. Should the side from Bergamo secure the signing of the Brazilian, it would pave the way for their Nigerian talisman to leave the club, so it would be in the Azzurri’s best interest to let the Nerazzurri win.
However, reports suggest that, based on the relationship between Atalanta and Juventus – the latter signed Teun Koopmeiners from the former – La Dea might be partial to selling Lookman to the Turin club instead, causing Napoli to lose both ways.
