Former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves has lauded Alex Iwobi‘s resurgence at Fulham, noting the significant improvement in his performances since leaving Everton.
Hargreaves highlighted how Fulham's style of play has allowed Iwobi to flourish, showcasing his talents in a way that was less apparent during his time at Goodison Park.
Iwobi’s transformation was on full display as Fulham secured their first win of the 2024-2025 Premier League season, defeating Leicester City 2-1 at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

The Super Eagles midfielder played a pivotal role in the victory, scoring the decisive goal in the 70th minute.
Alex Iwobi reborn at Craven Cottage
“Iwobi’s such a different player at Fulham compared to Everton, where they were struggling,” Hargreaves said on punditry duty with Premier League Productions.
“In this side, they are trying to play him alongside Emile Smith Rowe and Andreas Pereira—those are nice players.”
Alex Iwobi's move to Fulham last summer from Everton for a fee of £22 million has proven to be a masterstroke for the London club. Since his arrival, Iwobi has become a fan favorite both on and off the pitch, seamlessly integrating into Marco Silva’s system.
His performances have been stellar, with the Super Eagles midfielder contributing nine goal involvements (7 goals, 2 assists) in 35 appearances across all competitions.
Iwobi's impact extends beyond his stats—his work rate and creativity have endeared him to the Fulham faithfuls. He is fondly remembered for his goal against Manchester United at Old Trafford last season.
