Fulham head coach Marco Silva has shared the latest update on the fitness of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi ahead of their clash with Arsenal this weekend, Afrik-Foot reports.
Iwobi has been a key figure for Fulham since joining in 2023 and his influence has been missed in the little time he has spent on the sidelines. The Nigerian midfielder has been out of action since picking up an injury that forced him off in the first half of Fulham’s goalless draw with Brentford on April 18.
The 29-year-old had previously missed only six league matches this season, all of which came while he was on international duty with Nigeria at the 2025 African Cup of Nations, where he helped the Super Eagles secure a bronze medal.

However, Iwobi has remained unavailable since the injury and was out of the squad for last weekend’s crucial win over Aston Villa, which had revived their hopes of securing European qualification.
Fulham currently sit 10th in the Premier League table on 48 points, just one point behind Bournemouth, who occupy the final European qualification spot, with only four league games remaining.

Fulham travel to the Emirates Stadium in a Premier League match on Saturday as they continue their push for European qualification, but there are still concerns over Iwobi’s availability, along with a few other members of the squad.
Speaking ahead of the match, Marco Silva confirmed that Fulham have been dealt a setback, with the Nigerian midfielder still unavailable for selection.
“Alex [Iwobi] is out still, plus Kevin. Kenny [Tete], we will have to see how he reacts from the last two sessions. He can probably be involved in the game,” Silva said, via Fulham’s official website.

“We have some doubts on some players, but we will assess them tomorrow to see how they react from things that happened in the week.”
Fulham will now hope to have Iwobi back in time for the final stretch of the campaign after this weekend’s trip to Arsenal, as they continue their pursuit of a first European campaign since the 2011–12 season.
