Arokodare subject of Premier League interest from London

Fulham are looking to strengthen their attacking options in the upcoming January transfer window, with KRC Genk’s towering striker, Tolu Arokodare, on their radar.

The 6ft 6in Nigerian forward has made waves in Belgium, and his performances have caught the eye of Fulham boss Marco Silva.

Arokodare’s journey has been one of persistence and growth. After a stint in Germany with FC Koln and a brief spell in France with Amiens, the Nigerian striker found his feet in Belgium. Since joining Genk in 2023, Arokodare has been a constant threat in front of goal. Last season, he notched up 15 goals, and his current form is even more impressive—six goals in ten appearances this term.

Genk coach Thorsten Fink is well aware of Arokodare’s value, famously stating in August, “There is no better striker in Belgium than Tolu.”

Fulham’s need for attacking reinforcements leads them to Arokodare

Tolu Arokodare's standout performances even attracted interest from Turkish giants Trabzonspor during the summer transfer window. However, Genk held firm, valuing the striker at around £7 million.

While Fulham’s current strikers, Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz, have found form under Marco Silva, the Cottagers are still in the market for a new number nine.

According to TBR Football, Fulham are considering adding Arokodare to their ranks to further strengthen their attacking options. The Nigerian’s physical presence and goal-scoring prowess make him an ideal candidate to bolster Fulham’s attack.

Given his flying start to the season, Genk could raise their asking price should Premier League clubs come calling.

Should he complete a move to Fulham, he would become the third Nigerian player on the team, joining fellow Nigerian stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, both of whom are already key members of the Super Eagles squad.
