Asisat Oshoala’s star power continues to shape the women’s game, with SuperSport announcing a landmark broadcast deal that will bring the Saudi Women’s Premier League to African screens.

The Super Falcons striker, widely known as ‘Agba Baller’, has become the face of this expansion, her presence in Saudi Arabia serving as the spark for a bold new chapter in coverage.

Through a partnership with the All Women’s Sports Network (AWSN), SuperSport will air selected fixtures from both leagues as part of its “Here for Her” campaign, a drive to elevate women’s sport across the continent. For the Saudi Women’s Premier League, matches will be available on DStv Stream Channel 244, giving fans a direct window into the rise of the game in the Middle East.

Asisat Oshoala set to lead ambitious Al Hilal

Oshoala wasted no time in justifying the spotlight. On her league debut for Al Hilal, the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year found the net from the penalty spot in a thrilling 4–3 victory over Al Qadsiah.

It was a reminder of why she remains Africa’s foremost export, a player whose impact transcends the pitch and draws eyes wherever she goes.

For Al Hilal, securing Oshoala is a declaration of intent. The Riyadh giants, already well stocked with quality, have installed the Nigerian forward at the tip of their ambitions, aiming for domestic dominance and regional acclaim.

Fixtures against Al Ahli, powered by Moroccan star Ibtissam Jraidi, and Al Nassr, boasting Nigeria’s Ashleigh Plumptre, promise fierce rivalries and compelling narratives.
