Premier League side West Ham United have reportedly joined the race to sign Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface, adding to the growing interest in the Bayer Leverkusen star as they prepare for potential changes in their attacking lineup.
The Hammers have endured a challenging campaign in front of goal, managing just 30 Premier League goals—one of the five lowest tallies in the division.
West Ham have utilised four different strikers in the Premier League this season, but their combined output stands at just five goals.

As a result, the Hammers are eager to strengthen their attacking options in the summer, with Boniface emerging as a key target, according to journalist Christian Falk.
The Nigeria international has been a standout performer in the Bundesliga since his arrival from Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer of 2023, joining Bayer Leverkusen for a reported fee of approximately €22 million.
Boniface transfer: What price has Leverkusen set?
Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly placed a valuation of over €50 million (£42.2 million) on Boniface, reflecting his impressive impact since arriving in the Bundesliga.
Boniface played a pivotal role in Leverkusen’s historic campaign last season, registering 31 goal contributions in 34 appearances as Die Werkself clinched both the DFB-Pokal and their first-ever Bundesliga title.
This impressive feat came despite the Nigerian forward missing a significant portion of the first three months of 2024 due to an adductor injury.

So far this season, Boniface has found the net seven times and registered one assist in 13 appearances across all competitions.
The 24-year-old came close to joining PIF-owned Al Nassr in January, having already undergone and passed his medicals. However, the Saudi Pro League side ultimately opted to sign Aston Villa’s Colombian forward, Jhon Durán, instead.
In recent weeks, Boniface has been linked with moves to Premier League rivals Chelsea and Newcastle United, further fuelling speculation about his future.
