Nigerian winger Sani Suleman has completed a permanent transfer from RB Leipzig to Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah in a deal worth up to €8 million (approximately ₦12.7 billion), Afrik-Foot reports.

The 20-year-old only joined the Bundesliga club in January 2026 from Slovakian side AS Trenčín in a deal worth €5 million.

However, his six-month spell at the Red Bull Arena proved deeply frustrating. Sani failed to make a single competitive appearance for Leipzig’s senior team, even after the summer 2026 departure of fellow wing option Yan Diomande was expected to open a first-team pathway.

In recent weeks, reports emerged that RB Leipzig had actively begun to move him on, with Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah leading the race.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger both confirmed the negotiations between the clubs over the past two weeks.

The move was ultimately completed on Sunday, the final day of Saudi Arabia’s transfer window, with the Nigerian youth international putting pen to paper with the one-time Asian Winners Cup champions.

Sani has signed a three-year contract with Al-Qadsiah until the summer of 2029, with the Saudi club holding an option to extend the deal by a further year to 2030.

His annual salary at the Saudi Pro League club has not been publicly disclosed, but the reported package is understood to represent a significant increase over the Bundesliga terms he was on at Leipzig.

Al-Qadsiah, Sani will link up with a high-profile senior dressing room that includes Julián Quinones, Mateo Retegui, Tijjani Reijnders and Nacho Fernández.
