Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze found the net for AC Milan, but his goal was not enough as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Lazio at the San Siro on Sunday night in Serie A.
Chukwueze, who has endured a difficult season, started from the bench but made an impact after coming on, scoring his third goal of the campaign. However, Milan ultimately fell short.

Lazio dominated the first half and took a deserved lead in the 28th minute when Mattia Zaccagni capitalized on a defensive lapse to put the visitors ahead.
Milan pushed for an equalizer, but Lazio’s solid defence ensured they went into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Milan’s task became even more difficult in the 67th minute when Strahinja Pavlović was sent off, leaving them with ten men.
It looked like the game was slipping away from them.
Chukwueze was introduced in the 70th minute, replacing Christian Pulisic, and made an immediate impact.
The Nigerian winger connected with a brilliant assist from Rafael Leão to head home the equalizer in the 84th minute, sending the San Siro crowd into a frenzy.
However, Milan’s hopes of a comeback were dashed when Lazio won a late penalty. Pedro Rodriguez stepped up and calmly converted from the spot, sealing a dramatic 2-1 win for the visitors.
Chukwueze's showing against Lazio in numbers

Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze came on as a substitute for Christian Pulisic and played the final 20 minutes of AC Milan’s match against Lazio.
He made an impact by scoring a goal and registering one shot on target.
Chukwueze completed his only attempted dribble and had ten touches on the ball during his brief time on the pitch.
His passing, however, was less effective, completing just one of his three attempted passes, resulting in a 33% success rate.
Defensively, he won one of the three ground duels he contested but did not engage in any aerial duels.
