Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers stole the headlines with a stellar performance as Rangers cruised to a 6-0 victory over Ross County in the Scottish Premier League.
The Nigeria international scored twice, underlining his importance to the team and proving his critics wrong with a dominant display.
Rangers took control of the match early on, and it didn’t take long for Dessers to make his mark.
In the 18th minute, he latched onto a precise pass from Tom Lawrence, calmly slotting the ball past the Ross County goalkeeper to open the scoring.
Just before half-time, Rangers doubled their lead through forward Rabbi Matondo.

However, the celebrations were tempered somewhat when Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun was forced off with an injury after falling awkwardly.
The second half saw Rangers maintain their attacking intensity, and Dessers was on hand again in the 58th minute to grab his second goal of the match.
This time, it was Matondo who turned provider, delivering a perfect ball for the 29-year-old to finish with aplomb.
Just seven minutes later, Matondo was involved again, setting up Lawrence for Rangers’ fourth goal of the game.
Matondo then got his second of the match in the 69th minute, scoring after being set up by Václav Černý.
The rout was completed in the dying minutes when Damilo, who had come on for Dessers, found the back of the net to make it 6-0.
Cyriel Dessers, despite some run-ins with the fans, has been in impressive form for Rangers, with seven goals in all competitions this season, including three in the Scottish Premiership.
His performance will surely catch the eye of the Super Eagles selectors as the international window looms on the horizon.
