Myziane Maolida pulled one back for the visitors right after the interval before Rabbi Matondo scored in the 85th minute to consolidate Rangers' lead.
The win ensured that Philippe Clement's side will maintain their first position on the Scottish Premiership table. With 30 games played, Rangers lead the league with 73 points, two points ahead of their archrivals Celtic, who are in second place with 71 points.
Dessers had been on international duty with Nigeria and featured in the two games against Ghana and Mali. He scored against Ghana but blanked against the Malians.
