“He’s helping me a lot, there are always several aspects that a footballer can improve on,” the former Hatayspor man said in quotes revealed by Lazio Press.

“We wanted to win the first leg we were aware of a strong team. Atalanta have a lot of quality but for the return to Bergamo and still all open, we can win and get to the final of the Italian Cup.

“I was very happy for the goal. So far unfortunately I have had a difficult season: first I had several injuries, then I left for the African Cup of Nations.

“I have never found continuity, that’s why I hope the performance and the net against Atalanta can become a starting point for this season’s finale,” Dele-Bashiru continued.

Regarding his personal goals and dreams with the Lazio team, the ex-Sheffield Wednesday man said;

“For the current season our goal is to try to win the Italian Cup. It would be important for the team and the fans, it would help us to finish in the best way a complicated vintage, also giving us the qualification to the next Europa League.

“On a personal level, however, as mentioned, I just hope to play as many games as possible from here to the end, taking advantage of all the opportunities I will have. I want to grow every day and live my time here at Lazio, helping the club.

“If I’m still excited to hear the choir of the fans for me? Like the first time! I hadn’t scored in a while and hearing the choir of the fans, even if outside the stadium, I was excited, it was a wonderful feeling that I hope to try many more times,” Dele-Bashiru concluded.
