Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has credited Lazio’s coaching staff and teammates for his rapid development, highlighting improvements in his physicality and tactical awareness.
The Super Eagles midfielder shared his thoughts after finding the net in Lazio’s commanding 5-1 victory over Monza at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
The Nigeria international joined the Italian outfit from Turkish side Hatayaspor on a season-long loan with an option to buy, with the transfer fee expected to reach €7 million, with a potential contract extending until 2028.
Dele-Bashiru's seamless adaptation to Serie A since his arrival has earned him praise from Lazio manager Marco Baroni, his teammates, and club legends.

However, the 23-year-old has been quick to attribute his improved performances to the support and guidance of his coach and teammates.

Speaking to the press after Lazio’s dominant victory over Monza, as reported by Solo La Lazio, Dele-Bashiru reflected on his performance, his celebration, and the support he has received at the club.
“A perfect week for me, I gave myself a wonderful moment, but the team’s victory is even more important. There is a great group here, it’s the ideal environment. The coach believes in everyone,” he said.
On his goal celebration, he added: “My celebration? It started with Noslin while playing FIFA. The song the fans dedicated to me? It’s something I really enjoy. The coach and the team help me a lot; I’ve improved physically and tactically.”

The former Hatayspor midfielder has been a key contributor for I Biancocelesti, tallying five goals and two assists in 22 appearances across all competitions.
