English Premier League clubs Everton and Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche, Afrik-Foot reports.
Uche is coming off a disappointing campaign with Crystal Palace, whom he joined last summer on a season-long loan deal.
His contract included an “obligation to buy” clause, which was hinged on him starting ten Premier League matches.

However, he failed to win over manager Oliver Glasner, who has used him sparingly. His situation has worsened since the turn of the year, with the midfielder registering just 172 minutes of football since January.
Because the transfer failed to work out as expected, Uche is set to return to his parent club, Getafe, at the end of the season.

There were initial fears that the Spanish side would be unable to retain him due to La Liga’s stringent financial regulations.
However, Los Azulones may be able to keep the player if they secure European qualification. They currently sit seventh in La Liga, a position that guarantees a UEFA Conference League slot.
Despite this, their European ambitions hang in the balance; they risk slipping down the table if they lose their final match against Osasuna on Saturday, provided rivals Rayo Vallecano, Valencia, Espanyol, or Athletic Club win their respective games convincingly.
Christantus Uche: Super Eagles Star Attracts Premier League Interest

Despite Christantus Uche’s difficulties at Selhurst Park, his stock remains high among other English Premier League sides.
According to Mas Que Azules, both Everton and Newcastle are closely monitoring Uche’s situation and could launch bids to sign him during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Before his underwhelming stint with Crystal Palace, Uche was a standout performer in La Liga. Given that he is only 22 years old, suitors believe there is still significant room for development.
The Super Eagles star is currently valued at €15 million on Transfermarkt—a reasonable fee for the interested English clubs. Getafe would also likely be open to a sale at that price, as it represents a massive return on investment given they purchased him for just €500,000 two years ago.

Nevertheless, pulling off a transfer might prove complicated. The midfielder still has two years remaining on his contract with Los Azulones and holds a strong affection for the club, meaning getting his signature will need a highly convincing project.
