Millwall winger Femi Azeez has put Premier League clubs on red alert after publicly admitting his desire to test himself in England’s top flight, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace interested in the Super Eagles winger, Afrik Foot reports.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable rise over the past few months, transforming from one of the Championship’s most exciting players into a genuine contender for a place in Eric Chelle’s Nigeria squad ahead of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.
After scoring twice on his Super Eagles debut against Zimbabwe and registering an assist in Nigeria’s 3-0 Unity Cup final victory over Jamaica, Azeez’s value has continued to rise.

Azeez admits Premier League ambition
Speaking to Sky Sports on Friday, following his breakthrough campaign with Millwall, Azeez did not attempt to hide his long-term ambitions.
“As a footballer, you always want to play at the highest level you can play at,” the two-cap Super Eagle said.
“The Premier League is the pinnacle of football. I’d love to play in the Premier League. So obviously, I’m working hard, I’m going to do whatever I can to get there.”
Azeez has emerged as one of the most sought-after players outside the Premier League after a season that saw him register 11 goals and eight assists while helping Millwall challenge for promotion.
His performances earned him a place in the Championship Team of the Season and established him as one of the division’s best wingers.

Wayne Rooney’s comments has also put eyes on the England-born Nigerian winger.
Speaking on the Overlap, the former Manchester United captain admitted that he was impressed with Femi Azeez’s Championship numbers, seconding that he believes his talent is worth scooping up by a club in the Premier League, as he’ll easily slot in.
“I think Femi Azeez is one of those players who can step up,” the 40-year-old said.
“He’s a player I’ve watched, and I really like him. He’s an intelligent football player, and I think to go and play in the Premier League, you need that intelligence to be able to find space to take the ball and be a match-winner.
“I think he’s one player who’s more suited to the Premier League.”

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace remain interested
Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are interested in the Nigerian winger, while Ipswich Town have already seen a £20 million bid rejected by Millwall. The Championship club are believed to value Azeez significantly higher and could demand a fee approaching £30 million before considering a sale.
Former Premier League scout Bryan King recently argued that Unai Emery’s side should be among the leading contenders for Azeez’s signature, describing him as the type of direct winger capable of thriving in the Premier League.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, continue to monitor attacking reinforcements as they prepare for another campaign in the top flight, with Azeez’s ability to operate on either flank making him an attractive option.
