Two key reasons Fiorentina will beat Trabzonspor, others to Tolu Arokodare’s signing

Italian Serie A club Fiorentina is one of the sides interested in signing Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare this summer, Afrik-Foot reports.

The striker is expected to leave Wolves this summer following a difficult debut campaign. In his first season, he contributed six goals and two assists in 38 appearances.

In fairness to him, however, he struggled to secure regular starting minutes, and the team’s overall performance was poor.

This summer, he has been linked to several clubs, including Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fenerbahce, and most recently, Fiorentina. The Italian side is currently the only club to have submitted an official offer.

Last week, La Viola sent in a bid for the 25-year-old, but it was rejected by Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Then, just days later, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano announced that Arokodare had been left out of Wolves’ pre-season plans.

However, Fiorentina has now made another move. In this article, we explain why Arokodare is likely to join Fiorentina rather than any other club.

Two Reasons Tolu Arokodare Will Likely Join Fiorentina

Although the Serie A club’s opening bid for Tolu Arokodare was rejected, the club has returned for the Super Eagles striker.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the former Serie A champions have returned with a new proposal. This time, they have tabled a loan offer featuring a €22 million purchase clause.

This is significantly higher than their first bid and closer to Wolves’ €26 million valuation. With this latest move, Wolves will likely sanction the transfer, as they are desperate to remove the player from their books.

Aside from that, Arokodare does not want to move to Turkey, as he prefers to play in one of the top five European leagues. Since Fiorentina ticks that box, he will likely tilt toward them.

Meanwhile, there is a distinct possibility that Moise Kean will leave the Italian side this summer amid interest from other top European clubs. If that happens, Arokodare would be guaranteed the playing time needed to make his mark.

With this latest offer from Fiorentina, the transfer could be completed in a few days.
