Fulham are showing serious interest in signing Super Eagles attacker Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent deal, Afrik-Foot reports.
Chukwueze spent last season at the club on a season-long loan from AC Milan. He had a decent campaign, contributing three goals and four assists in 23 league appearances. However, Fulham opted not to trigger their option-to-buy clause at the time.
Just a few weeks later, however, the Cottagers have returned to the negotiation table for the Super Eagles winger.

According to Transfer News Live, AC Milan are demanding €31 million for the forward, but Fulham have initiated contact to discuss the possibility of a lower fee.
The Cottagers are expected to have a busy summer following the departure of manager Marco Silva and striker Raul Jimenez. With Harry Wilson’s future also uncertain as he has yet to sign an extension, Fulham are looking to add quality while working within a budget.
Why AC Milan Will Play Hardball

AC Milan have deemed Samuel Chukwueze a flop due to his struggles over the past two years, yet they are determined to secure a high fee before letting him go.
His displays at Fulham have already attracted interest from other clubs, including Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, and West Ham.
Naturally, high demand is expected to drive up the player’s price, and with the 27-year-old having two years left on his contract, AC Milan are in no rush to sell cheaply.
They signed him for €21.1 million just three years ago, but they are looking to make a significant profit despite his failure to shine for them. This is also another reason Fulham are looking to beat down the price.

Although Chukwueze remains an AC Milan player, he has expressed his desire to join Fulham permanently.
The Italian club is also keen to move him on, which plays to Fulham’s advantage. However, if the Cottagers do not act quickly to seal the deal, they risk losing him to another interested suitor.
