Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has emerged as a key summer transfer target for Galatasaray, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Nigerian attacker has distinguished himself as one of the best in the game in the last two years, excelling for both club and country.
His brilliant performances earned him a transfer from Atalanta to Atlético Madrid in a deal worth €35 million in the January transfer window, and he took to life in Spain like a fish to water almost immediately.

The versatile 28-year-old contributed five goals and four assists in 24 appearances for Los Colchoneros, helping them reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
On the international scene, he has also been brilliant, contributing 11 goals in 48 appearances for the Super Eagles.

Lookman has been linked back to Inter Milan, whom he was close to joining last year. Turkey, where he was also linked in the past, has emerged as a potential destination.
Lookman has been heavily linked to Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. Both clubs are constantly in a race to outdo each other in the transfer market, and Lookman would be a “galactico” signing, at least for their level.
Now, reports suggest that Galatasaray is set to intensify their bid to sign Lookman from Atlético Madrid.

According to Turkish football outlet Fotomac, Galatasaray is seriously interested in signing Lookman from Atlético Madrid this summer.
But they are aware that it will be a tough task. As a result, they have asked Victor Osimhen to try to convince him.
Recall that Osimhen has often iterated his love for the Cimbom. And it is not much of a surprise, considering his hefty salary and the love that he has received from the Galatasaray faithful.

However, it will be a big ask. Osimhen and Lookman aren’t known to be best friends, and Atleti would be unwilling to let a star attacker go, given the fact that they have already lost Antoine Griezmann, and there are exit talks surrounding Julian Álvarez and Alexander Sørloth.
Also, the reigning Turkish champions would have to table an offer that is significantly higher than what Lookman currently earns in Spain.
It looks like a very difficult deal to pull off. But perhaps, with the influence of Osimhen, a transfer might just happen.
