Former Fenerbahçe star İlker Yağcıoğlu has claimed that Victor Osimhen is not receiving enough support from his teammates despite continuing to deliver goals for Galatasaray, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Nigerian striker has remained one of the standout performers in Europe this season. Osimhen recently scored his 10th league goal of the campaign, only days after netting his seventh goal in the UEFA Champions League.
His goals have helped Galatasaray maintain top spot in the Turkish Süper Lig ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor. The striker has also played a key role in their impressive European run, which included eliminating Juventus to reach the Round of 16.

Yet Yağcıoğlu believes Osimhen’s strong scoring numbers hide a tactical concern within the team.
Speaking as a TRT Spor commentator, the former defender argued that Galatasaray are not using their star striker effectively enough.
According to him, the former Napoli man had limited involvement during the recent victory over Alanyaspor because teammates failed to find him with passes even when he moved into promising attacking positions.

“Osimhen had very few touches of the ball and made few passes,” İlker Yağcıoğlu said as per Habersarikirmizi.
“He made only 9 passes throughout the match. That’s a very low number. In some situations, he was in a very good position, but his teammates didn’t see him. He’s working hard. He’s winning the ball from unexpected places.
“He’s reacting, but his teammates can’t make mistakes every moment either. Osimhen’s strength and contributions are undeniable. They will find a middle ground somehow.”

Osimhen responds to speculation over mood and celebrations
In recent weeks, attention has also turned to Osimhen’s muted goal celebrations.
Reports suggested the Super Eagles striker might be unhappy, with rumours linking his behaviour to unpaid wages or frustration over isolation in attack.
Some observers believe the forward often finds himself alone up front, receiving limited service despite constantly making dangerous runs behind opposition defenders.

However, Osimhen has firmly dismissed suggestions of tension within the squad or unhappiness at the club.
“I have no problems with anyone! I’m happy at Galatasaray,” Osimhen said.
“I celebrate goals most of the time. There are times when I don’t celebrate, but there was a reason for it in the Juventus match. Since the day I arrived, I’ve been on very good terms with everyone at Galatasaray. I love my club, my coach, our fans, and my president.”
Osimhen and Galatasaray now face a demanding run of fixtures, with matches against Alanyaspor in the Turkish Cup, league rivals Beşiktaş, and English giants Liverpool in Europe.
