Victor Moses has come out to express his disappointment following Luton Town’s tough 3-1 defeat to Plymouth Argyle in the Sky Bet Championship.
Despite netting his first goal of the season, the Nigerian veteran couldn’t prevent his side from dropping to 19th in the standings with seven points from seven matches.
The Hatters had hoped to secure a third consecutive win but were thoroughly outplayed at Home Park.
Injuries and early setbacks hindered their progress as three key players were forced off in quick succession, leaving Luton reeling.
Moses strikes but Luton struggles
After watching most of the play from the bench, Moses entered the match in the 58th minute to replace injured defender Mads Andersen.
Within 13 minutes, he made his mark, scoring a well-taken goal that showed he still had his scoring touch.
Unfortunately, his efforts weren’t enough to turn the tide for Luton as Plymouth held firm.
The 33-year-old praised his teammates for their grit, despite the challenging circumstances, and remained optimistic about the team's chances of bouncing back.
Moses to focus on the future
Following the game, the former Spartak Moscow star took to social media to share his thoughts, writing,
“Gutted about the result last night. The boys gave everything. We will regroup and bounce back stronger. Thank you to our amazing travelling fans for their brilliant support.”
Looking ahead, Moses hopes to feature in the starting lineup as Luton prepare to face Oxford United in their next Championship clash.
With his confidence growing, he’ll be eager to build on his recent form and help his team recover swiftly from this setback.
