Inter Milan transfer: 2 ways Monza move will affect Akinsanmiro’s career

Super Eagles midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has been linked with a transfer to Monza, as he is not part of Inter Milan’s plans for the upcoming season, Afrik-Foot reports.

Akinsanmiro joined the Nerazzurri from Remo Stars in 2023. He rose through the ranks, playing for the youth team before graduating to the first team.

However, he has found it difficult to nail down a starting spot due to the high quality of players in Inter Milan’s midfield.

As a result, the 21-year-old has had to go on two different loan deals. Two seasons ago, he was at Sampdoria in Serie B, while he spent last year at Pisa, who were relegated at the end of the campaign.

Pisa had the opportunity to pay €9 million and make the loan permanent, but they failed to do so, leaving the Nigerian to return to his parent club.

Now, Monza have entered the scene and is looking to wrap up a transfer in the coming days. Monza are believed to be targeting a permanent move for the 21-year-old midfielder.

However, Inter Milan are being tactful with how they handle the transfer. They believe that Akinsanmiro has a high ceiling, so they want to add a mandatory buy-back clause in the contract to ensure that if the prospect starts shining in a few years, they can bring him back.

It is a deal that could work out, as all parties involved are willing.

Meanwhile, Afrik-Foot examines two reasons why the Monza move could be ideal for Akinsanmiro.

Why Inter Milan Exit Is Ideal For Ebenezer Akinsanmiro

Since moving to Europe, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro has been somewhat unstable, having been sent on two separate loan transfers.

However, a permanent transfer to Monza would provide him with a sense of stability. He would be able to plan for the season, work in a consistent environment, and build for his future. As such, he should seriously consider the move.

This stability could also translate into regular involvement with the national team. He was invited by the coaching staff before the start of the last Africa Cup of Nations, but just as it has been at Inter Milan, he has remained on the fringes and has not received significant minutes.

Once he can settle down and start playing regularly, he can realistically dream of consistent call-ups to the Super Eagles.

Akinsanmiro has to make a decision and start building his career. He is a talented player; he just needs time, patience, and stability.
