Live: Burnley vs Wolves – Updates & scores from Arokodare’s last dance for 2025/26 season

Published on by

Today marks the curtain-closer for the 2025/26 English Premier League season, and one of the ten final-day fixtures is Burnley vs Wolves.

The venue for the clash is Turf Moor, and despite the stakes, it should still provide fans with plenty of excitement.

There isn’t a lot riding on this fixture. Both teams, having already been relegated, are playing strictly for pride.

Burnley sit 19th in the Premier League standings with 21 points, while Wolverhampton Wanderers are rooted to the bottom in 20th with 19 points. So any team that loses this game will finish the season as the last team on the Premier League table.

Afrik-foot reports that there is a Nigerian angle to this encounter, as Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare starts from the bench for Burnley.

He joined the club from Genk last summer, but things have not panned out well for him, managing a disappointing return of just three goals in 32 Premier League appearances.

This will be his last rodeo of the season before the summer break begins, and he will be looking to end it on a high note by coming off the bench to nick a goal.
