Nigeria’s top 10 most valuable strikers in 2026: Osimhen, Onuachu, Arokodare ranked

Victor Osimhen sits well clear of other Nigerian centre-forwards in the world atop the market value charts ahead of the 2026-27 season, Afrik-Foot reports.

The Al Hilal-linked Galatasaray striker is valued at €75m, while the next nine players are worth between €20m and €5m. The ranking below uses Transfermarkt’s figures and then looks at what each player has done for club and country, as well as what could come next ahead of the new campaign.

10. Victor Boniface, €5m

Victor Boniface has slipped a long way from the €40m value he reached after his superb start at Bayer Leverkusen. Transfermarkt now values the 25-year-old centre-forward at €5m.

His 2025-26 season was difficult. A loan move to Werder Bremen was meant to give him regular football, but injuries and limited playing time restricted him to 11 Bundesliga appearances without a goal, although he supplied two assists.

Nigeria have also had only a small return from Boniface at international level. He has 13 caps and one goal.

The 2026-27 season is therefore crucial. A full pre-season, regular starts and a sustained run of matches at Leverkusen could give Boniface a chance to rebuild the reputation that made him one of Europe’s most expensive young forwards.

9. Paul Onuachu, €6m

Paul Onuachu had one of the strongest scoring seasons among Nigeria’s centre-forwards. The 2.01m striker scored 26 goals in 36 matches for Trabzonspor in 2025-26, including 22 in 30 Süper Lig games and four in the Turkish Cup.

That league tally was enough to put him top of the goalscorers chart in Turkey. His aerial ability, physical strength and knack for attacking crosses made him a major weapon for Trabzonspor.

Onuachu also has 33 Nigeria caps and five goals. At 32, the 2026-27 season will be about maintaining that remarkable scoring level while showing that his effectiveness is not limited to one successful campaign.

8. Gift Orban, €7m

Gift Orban’s market value has fallen from the heights reached during his explosive period in Belgium, but his 2025-26 season gave him useful momentum.

The 23-year-old spent the campaign with Hellas Verona and scored seven goals in 29 appearances, adding three assists. Orban’s best quality is his direct approach. He wants to shoot early, attack space and finish moves rather than spend long periods away from the penalty area.

The next step is consistency. A move to Turkey with newly promoted Amedspor gives him a chance to turn flashes of finishing ability into a sustained scoring run.

7. Rafiu Durosinmi, €7m

Rafiu Durosinmi is one of the younger names on this list and enters 2026-27 with a new challenge in Italy.

The 23-year-old moved to Pisa in January 2026 after building his reputation with Viktoria Plzen. Across the season, he scored 14 goals in 42 matches, including seven in the Czech league, two in the Europa League and two in Champions League qualifying. He also scored once in 12 Serie A appearances after joining Pisa.

Durosinmi has three Nigeria caps but is yet to score for the Super Eagles. He has since sealed a record move to KRC Genk and regular Belgian Pro League football could lift him to greater heights. His size, movement and finishing give Nigeria another option when a game demands a traditional penalty-box striker.

6. Terem Moffi, €8m

Terem Moffi’s campaign last term was disrupted by a difficult spell at Nice before a loan move to Porto. He scored two Ligue 1 goals and one Europa League goal for Nice, then added one league goal for Porto. Opta records one assist in nine Primeira Liga appearances after his January move.

Moffi’s market value is now €8m, with 23 Nigeria caps and six goals. The former Lorient man has been transfer listed, with a move to Germany looking increasingly likely.

Wherever he goes, though, his primary task will be to get regular football. A productive season could push him back into the Super Eagles’ first-choice striker conversation, especially with Nigeria needing more options around Osimhen.

5. Taiwo Awoniyi, €8m

Taiwo Awoniyi’s value has dropped sharply from the period when he was Nottingham Forest’s leading striker, but the 28-year-old still possesses a proven Premier League record.

He made 16 appearances last season, scoring four goals and providing two assists. Fifteen of those appearances came in the league. His importance was seen late in the campaign when he scored twice in Forest’s 3-1 win against Chelsea as the club battled near the relegation zone.

Awoniyi has 10 Nigeria caps and two goals. His season will be about staying fit and earning enough starts to build rhythm. His strength and ability to attack crosses still give him a different profile from Nigeria’s other forwards.

4. Christantus Uche, €12m

Christantus Uche has one of the most interesting stories in the ranking. The 23-year-old developed from a midfielder into a centre-forward and became an important player during his time at Getafe. His market value is listed at €12m.

He spent part of 2025-26 on loan at Crystal Palace, where he featured in the Premier League and Conference League, before returning to Getafe. There, Uche recorded 26 appearances, three goals and two assists across competitions.

His value is tied not only to goals but also to his ability to link midfield and attack. At 23, he still has room to improve his finishing. A full season back at Getafe would have been decisive but the Super Eagles star has suffered an injury that could derailed his return to Spain. More goals would have made his €12m valuation easier to justify and strengthen his position in Nigeria’s senior team.

3. Akor Adams, €15m

Akor Adams has quickly become one of Nigeria’s most valuable young centre-forwards. Transfermarkt puts his value at €15m, while LaLiga records 10 goals and three assists in 32 appearances for Sevilla during 2025-26.

His international breakthrough came in October 2025. Adams came on in the 65th minute against Lesotho in World Cup qualifying and scored Nigeria’s second goal in the 80th minute. Sevilla noted that he had also scored against Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona for his club around the same period. Adams now has 15 Nigeria caps and six goals.

With Adams now at Venezia in Italy, the 2026-27 season could decide whether he becomes a regular partner or alternative to Osimhen. His size, pace and ability to run behind defenders make him particularly useful when Nigeria need to attack quickly.

2. Tolu Arokodare, €20m

Tolu Arokodare is valued at €20m, making him Nigeria’s second-most valuable centre-forward behind Osimhen. The 25 years old former Genk man is 1.97m tall and already boasts 10 Nigeria caps and two goals.

His first Premier League campaign with Wolves produced seven goals and two assists in 43 appearances across all competitions. He scored three league goals, two in the EFL Cup and one each in the FA Cup and Belgian league after beginning the season with Genk.

That output came during a difficult Wolves campaign that ended in relegation. Arokodare has since moved to Ajax on a one-season loan, with an option to buy.

The move gives him a fresh start. Ajax will expect his height and aerial ability to cause problems in the Dutch league, while Nigeria will want him to turn his two international goals into a stronger scoring record.

1. Victor Osimhen, €75m

There is a clear gap at the top. Osimhen is valued at €75m, placing him first among Nigerian centre-forwards and ninth among all centre-forwards worldwide. He has 52 Nigeria caps and 35 international goals.

Last season at Galatasaray, Osimhen netted 22 goals and added eight assists in 33 official matches. He also helped the Istanbul club win the Süper Lig title, scoring twice in the 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor on 9 May as Galatasaray sealed the championship.

Osimhen also produced one of his finest European nights in October, scoring twice against Bodø/Glimt in a 3-1 Champions League victory. His first goal came in the third minute and his second in the 33rd. Galatasaray said the opening strike was the earliest Champions League goal in the club’s history, while the match extended his scoring run to seven consecutive European games for the club.

Galatasaray have built their attack around the former Napoli man, while his €75m valuation places him among Europe’s elite forwards. A repeat of his 22-goal season, combined with a strong Champions League campaign, would make it difficult for the club to resist serious offers if they arrive.
