The Baggies took the lead through Karlan Grant in the 12th minute, stunning the home fans into silence.

Just five minutes later, Josh Maja extended their advantage, scoring his ninth goal of the season from a James Furlong assist to give his team a two-goal cushion.

Joao Pedro pulled one back for Hull City in the 40th minute, igniting hopes of a comeback for the Tigers and making it 2-1.

The first half ended with that scoreline, and despite Hull City’s valiant efforts, no more goals were scored in the second half.

The one-cap Super Eagles striker has now scored nine goals in the Championship this season, helping to propel his team to fourth place in the standings with 25 points after 15 games.

Maja registered one shot on target and one off target.

He won two out of the three aerial duels he contested, though he did not win either of his two ground duels.
