Russian giants CSKA Moscow have announced the departure of veteran Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega upon the expiration of her contract.
The 31-year-old Nigeria international joined CSKA Moscow in August 2021, signing an initial two-and-a-half-year contract with the 2020 Russian champions.
Prior to her move, Ordega had a brief stint with Spanish side Levante UD, where she had signed a three-year deal just five months earlier.

During her time with CSKA Moscow, Francisca Ordega made a lasting impact, featuring in 84 matches, where she scored 29 goals and provided 20 assists.
Her contributions were key in helping the club achieve notable success, including two Russian Cup titles and four Super League silver medals. She also played an instrumental role in securing the national Super Cup.
The much-travelled and vastly experienced Ordega has previously played for a range of clubs, including Russia's WFC Rossiyanka, Sweden's Piteå IF, the Washington Spirit in the USA, Australia's Sydney FC, Atletico de Madrid Femenino, and Chinese side Shanghai Shengli, where she had a brief spell in Asia.
Her move to China cemented her place in African football history, making her the first female player from the continent to compete across five continents: Africa, Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia.
She has claimed four Africa Women’s Cup of Nations titles with the Super Falcons, with her first victory in 2010 and subsequent triumphs in 2014, 2016, and 2018.
Having represented Nigeria at every international level, Ordega has earned over 45 caps for the Super Falcons and has gained valuable experience from competing in three Women's World Cup tournaments in 2011, 2015, and 2019.
