Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen provided an assist to help Galatasaray secure a 2-1 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Süper Lig on Sunday.
The 26-year-old started the match at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium as Galatasaray aimed to consolidate their position at the top of the league table.

Galatasaray took the lead in the 42nd minute when Osimhen set up Baris Yilmaz to score, capitalizing on their dominance in the game.
However, the home side equalized in the 53rd minute through Polish striker Krzysztof Piątek.
Osimhen and Yilmaz both had opportunities to restore Galatasaray's lead, but they failed to convert their chances.
Basaksehir also pushed forward in search of a winning goal but could not capitalize on their opportunities.
Yilmaz eventually scored his second goal of the match in the 59th minute, just six minutes after Basaksehir's equalizer, giving Galatasaray the decisive 2-1 lead.
Osimhen was substituted in the 89th minute as the visitors held on for a crucial three points.

Though he did not score, Osimhen delivered a solid performance, playing 89 minutes and providing the assist for Galatasaray’s opening goal.
He attempted three shots, none of which were on target, and had 27 touches during the game.
He made one key pass, created one big chance, and had one shot blocked.

His passing accuracy was 70 percent, completing seven out of ten passes.
In aerial duels, he contested six and won two, while on the ground he was successful in five of six duels.
Osimhen has now scored ten goals and provided four assists in fourteen league appearances this season, helping Galatasaray's push for the title.
