Super Eagles target William Osula has been linked with a move away from Premier League side Newcastle United ahead of the summer transfer window, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Denmark-born forward joined the Magpies from Sheffield United in the summer of 2024, but has had to remain patient for regular playing time under Eddie Howe due to the intense competition at the club.
Despite Newcastle’s big-money arrivals last summer, Osula has gradually emerged as one of the club’s preferred options in attack in recent matches this season.

The Nigeria-eligible forward has scored five goals in 22 appearances for Newcastle United this season and recently made five consecutive starts for the club, scoring three goals during that run.
William Osula: Super Eagles target makes stance clear on Newcastle United future
Newcastle United forward William Osula has now made a decision on his future at the Premier League club amid growing transfer speculation ahead of the summer window.
Reports from Football Insider reveal that the 22-year-old is happy to remain at Newcastle United and is not interested in leaving, as he believes he can play a key role for the club next season.

Osula has been linked with a move away from St James’ Park due to increasing interest from several clubs in recent weeks. German giants Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing the young attacker as a long-term replacement for England captain Harry Kane, while Eintracht Frankfurt are also said to be keen on the striker after Newcastle rejected previous approaches for him.
There has also been interest from Premier League clubs including Everton and Aston Villa, but Osula’s latest stance could force interested clubs to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements.
There was also uncertainty surrounding his future last summer following the arrivals of Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart and Yoane Wissa from Brentford during the transfer window. He was even close to joining Eintracht Frankfurt before the move eventually collapsed, which forced him to stay at Newcastle.
Since then, the 22-year-old has taken advantage of his opportunities and has been being tipped to play a major role for the club moving forward. Although Newcastle are still expected to strengthen in attack this summer, Osula is reportedly seen as an important part of the club’s plans, with any new striker likely to provide competition and depth.

The Super Eagles eligible forward will also be looking to finish the season strongly in Newcastle’s remaining two matches and add to his goal tally ahead of what could be a breakthrough campaign next season.
After the season ends, Osula is also expected to decide on his international future, with Nigeria awaiting a decision after making an approach last month to convince him to switch allegiance from Denmark.
