Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has been a major subject of interest at Trabzonspor this summer due to the uncertainty surrounding his future, Afrik-Foot reports.
The 32-year-old marksman joined the Black Sea Storm in a permanent transfer from Southampton last summer, and he proved to be quite the acquisition.
He contributed 17 goals and four assists in his appearances to help his club secure a third-place finish in the Süper Lig and a Turkish Cup triumph.

Onuachu’s performances have not gone unnoticed, as he has attracted interest from several clubs. Since the turn of the year, the former Genk man has been linked to sides in the top five European leagues and Saudi Arabia.
Al-Ahli emerged as a potential destination some weeks ago, with reports suggesting that they were willing to quadruple the Nigerian’s wages. This means that Onuachu could start earning as high as €160,000 weekly, the highest pay check in his career.
However, nothing concrete has emerged from that yet, as Trabzonspor have been quite stern in insisting that they won’t budge. But a new report from Turkish football expert Yunus Emre Sel suggests that the situation might be changing.

According to Turkish football expert Yunus Emre Sel, Trabzonspor do not want to sell Paul Onuachu.
However, they are willing to listen to offers that are significantly high. Also, Onuachu has not expressed a desire to leave the club yet, but in the event that he informs the club that he wants to go, they will allow it.

But for a player who is approaching the end of his career, he will definitely prioritize an offer that is financially rewarding. So, it is possible that he will push for a move eventually.
Trabzonspor are believed to have placed a €20 million price tag on the Super Eagles star. That is a significant valuation for a player who is nearing the twilight of his career, and as a result, his suitors will likely try to negotiate that figure down.
But before they even consider letting him leave, Onuachu would have to demand the move himself.
There are still at least two months left until the end of the transfer window, so it remains to be seen how Onuachu’s situation progresses.
