Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu could be set for a transfer that could cause a major controversy in the Turkish football scene this summer, Afrik-Foot reports.
The Super Eagles star joined Trabzonspor for a second stint last summer, and he took Turkey by storm.
Onuachu won the top scorer award after contributing 22 goals and two assists in 30 Süper Lig appearances for the Black Sea Storm.

It was his brilliance that propelled Trabzonspor on in the second half of the campaign. And when he failed to score, they struggled.
His performances have earned him a lot of plaudits and regular invitations to the Super Eagles squad. He has also been linked with several clubs.
There have been reports that Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli have tabled a mouthwatering deal that will see him earn over €170,000 weekly—quadruple his Trabzonspor salary.

Onuachu has also been linked with some Bundesliga clubs in recent weeks. Now, fresh reports suggest that a top Turkish side wants to sign him.
Fenerbahce Want Paul Onuachu
According to Nexus Sports and Platform+, Fenerbahçe are interested in signing Paul Onuachu from Trabzonspor.
The Yellow Canaries are coming off a campaign that saw them finish second in the Süper Lig. But that is not good enough for them, as they are seriously searching for their first title in 13 years.

As such, they are looking to bring in reinforcements ahead of next season. Onuachu, who already knows the ins and outs of the Süper Lig, is a sensible target, as he would give them a significant edge in attack.
However, pulling off the transfer would be a really difficult task because Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe are rivals. The former would be reluctant to negotiate. And if they eventually budge, it would be for a premium price.
Then there is also the question of loyalty. Trabzonspor fans are very passionate, and they would be out for Onuachu’s head if he leaves them for their rivals.
The deal looks like a really difficult one to pull off. But it remains to be seen how it will pan out eventually.
