The former Southampton striker’s goal last night was his 13th in the last ten games. Onuachu has scored in every game he’s played for Trabzonspor since he returned from the AFCON 2025 tournament.
After the goal against Rizespor, the lanky forward dedicated the milestone to his club’s coach, Fatih Tekke, who’d lost a family member in the course of the week.

“I want to start by wishing my condolences to the family of our coach who we lost,” the ex-Genk man said in quotes Haberturk.
“We dedicate this victory to him and his family. It wasn’t easy to play this game. We’re going through a difficult time for our city and our club. We are happy to win this match for him.
“There is no easy match in this league. We need to draw attention to the quality of our opponent. Rizespor fought well in terms of defense.
“We’ll keep fighting. We must give credit to our coach and the technical team. With their help, we continue to win. We will always continue to develop as a team we need to do,” Onuachu concluded.
