Super Eagles forward Moses Simon provided an assist in Nantes' defeat to Reims at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Sunday.

Simon set up Douglas for the opening goal in the 28th minute, but Marshall Munetsi equalised for Reims in the 34th minute, leveling the score by halftime. The game was heading for a draw until Keito Nakamura netted a decisive goal in injury time, clinching the victory for Luka Elsner's team.

The defeat marked Nantes' first loss of the 2024/25 season, coming after two wins and one draw in their previous three matches.
